Diesel Petrol Skid Gas Station Routine Maintenance Guide
Jun 02, 2026
I. Daily Inspections
Leak Detection: Inspect the storage tank, pipelines, and fuel dispensers for any signs of leaks or oil spills.
Safety Hardware: Verify that explosion-proof baffles, emergency shut-off valves, and static grounding connections are intact and securely fastened.
System Monitoring: Check fuel levels, operating pressure, and the operational status of the vapor recovery system (VRS).
Housekeeping: Clear debris around the equipment area to ensure fire lanes and emergency exits remain completely unobstructed.

II. Weekly Maintenance
Hardware Tightening: Tighten all flange and joint bolts; verify the static grounding resistance.
Filter Upkeep: Clean the dispenser filters and vapor recovery filters. Replace them immediately if any damage or excessive wear is detected.
Emergency Controls: Test the emergency stop (E-stop) and emergency pressure relief buttons to ensure prompt responsiveness.
Fire Safety: Inspect all fire extinguishers and safety equipment to ensure they are fully charged, in good condition, and within standard pressure ranges.
III. Monthly Inspections
Calibration: Verify the calibration and accuracy of the fuel level gauges and dispenser flow meters.
Venting Systems: Inspect flame arrestors and breather valves for any signs of blockage or corrosion.
Electrical Check: Examine control wiring and the power distribution panel for moisture buildup, aging, or physical damage.
Exterior Maintenance: Perform rust removal and touch-up painting on the tank exterior to maintain optimal anti-corrosion protection.
IV. Quarterly / Annual Maintenance
Fuel Quality & Tank Cleaning: Conduct fuel sampling and testing; drain off any accumulated water and remove sediment from the bottom of the tank.
System Diagnostics: Perform a comprehensive diagnostic test of all explosion-proof electrical components and warning alarm systems.
Integrity Testing: Conduct leak detection and vapor-tightness testing on the tank. Log all results and issue formal maintenance records.
V. Operating Precautions
Weather Restrictions: Suspend all fueling operations during thunderstorms or severe high-wind conditions.
Strict Prohibitions: Open flames are strictly prohibited near the station. Unauthorized or non-certified personnel must never attempt to modify or disassemble the storage tank and piping systems.
