The core difference between a vacuum annealing and a vacuum sintering furnace is reflected in their functions, processes, and applications, as follows:

1. Different core functions

Vacuum annealing furnace Mainly used to eliminate internal stress in workpieces, improve mechanical properties (such as softening, refining grains), and is achieved through slow cooling after heating without changing the shape of the workpiece.

Vacuum sintering furnace: Used to sinter powder materials (metals, ceramics, etc.) by high- heating to achieve particle bonding and densification, and finally form block or irregular workpieces, which is the "forming process" of the material.

2. Different process characteristics
Temperature: The annealing furnace has a lower temperature (usually 300-1200℃, below the melting point of the material); the sinter furnace has a higher temperature (mostly 800-2200℃, close to the melting point of the material).

Vacuum: The anne furnace requires medium to high vacuum (10⁻³-10⁻¹Pa); the sintering furnace requires higher vacuum (10⁻⁵-10⁻³Pa to reduce impurity contamination and promote powder bonding.

3. Different application scenarios

Vacuum annealing furnace: Suitable for the heat treatment of metal workpieces ( as steel, copper) to improve machining performance or eliminate stress.

Vacuum sintering furnace: Used for powder forming, such as the preparation of hard alloy, ceramic parts, powder metallurgy components, etc.
